    Responsibilities

    • Provide project development functions for large-scale mixed-use, office, retail, hotel and residential development projects in Northern, VA
    • Assist in the oversight of day-to-day activities in implementing all aspects of the development of projects from initial design through completion
    • Assist in financial analysis of complex mixed-use development
    • Ensure compliance with all transactional agreements to meet the project’s financial and schedule objectives
    • Coordinate the development of the project with asset and property management teams for the various project components to establish operating budgets and requirements of the project
    • Maintain tracking logs and assist Director in resolving project issues during all phases of the development process
    • Manage project budgets and invoice tracking
    • Maintain project schedule reporting
    • Assemble contract documentation for the project including budget, timetables, drawings, specifications and invoices
    • Assist in other development-related administrative tasks including meeting minutes, status reports, and file maintenance
    • Prepare project reports, as required
    • Complete project specific assignments (e.g., obtaining bids, coordinating permits)
    • Assist with project meeting coordination amongst the Owner’s project consultants
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required in business or business-related field; real estate preferred
    • MBA or higher education real estate degree preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of real estate experience
    • Experience with managing the full cycle of physical vertical development process, including entitlements, design, marketing, financing and construction matters for project of institutional size and quality
    • Proficient in financial modeling with Excel and Argus
    • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
    • Must be highly credible and trustworthy
    • Must operate with a high degree of integrity
    • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
    • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision, in an entrepreneurial work environment
    • Ability to demonstrate sound and reasoned judgment, promoting high quality execution of work product
    • Ability to work well in a team, establishing good working relationships with peers, vendors, etc.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
    • Ability to think quickly and proactively respond to changing priorities
    • Well-organized with a strong attention to detail
