    Comstock is currently seeking an outstanding IT Manager to help lead our technology team’s continued growth.  This key role, reporting directly to senior management, offers a challenging opportunity to manage the evolving information technology needs of the firm and its clients. 

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the business to optimize processes and systems
    • Manage information technology and computer systems
    • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
    • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
    • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
    • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
    • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
    • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
    • Audit systems and assess their outcomes
    • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
    • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

    Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
    • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in IT with at least 3 years of managerial experience
    • Working knowledge of the real estate industry from an owner, operator and development standpoint
    • Proven experience in the property management industry
    • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
    • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installations
    • Ability to manage personnel
    • Working knowledge of Yardi software
    • Self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative environment
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Ability to multi-task and follow through in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
    • Must be able to effectively present information in a consultative manner and respond to questions from senior level management
    • Ability to define and resolve complex issues and resolve with practical concrete business minded solutions
