  • Overview

    We have an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. This position reports to the Assistant Controller. 


    • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of various accounts and journal entries
    • Perform periodic analysis of various projects such as under construction, near completion and completed projects and determine accruals needed in compliance with U.S. GAAP
    • Perform and analyze budget to actual variances for various projects
    • Reconcile various account balances including cash and loan accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis based on the underlying support and activities
    • Compile and analyze financial information to support the financial statement reporting process
    • Maintain organized paper and electronic accounting records for month and quarter end close
    • Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities including particiapation in monthly meetings
    • Assist with quarterly review and year-end audit preparation and request
    • Process timely bank deposits
    • Ensure records are maintained in compliance with the company's policies and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned


    • 4 to 6 years of public acconting experience, including working knowlege of Rule 404 under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and audits of SEC companies
    • Active CPA preferred
    • Experience in high-growth, publicly-traded, real estate industry preferred
    • Must have knowledge of US GAAP 
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal within and across departments
    • Strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
    • Possess great attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
