    JK Environmental LLC has an opening in our Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office for a Professional Geologist who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established company.  The selected candidate will work in a team-oriented environment and will be offered a variety of challenging assignments including the design and execution of

    hydrogeological investigations, remedial actions, and environmental assessments.


    • Responsible for both field work and office work for remediation of contaminated sites located primarily in New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
    • Field work will be limited, but may include drilling oversight for soil sampling and/or groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation oversight, operation and maintenance of remediation systems and vapor/soil gas surveys
    • Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents in support of engineering design from pilot to full-scale remediation system design.
    • Lead environmental investigations and remediation projects to include directing the day-to-day activities of junior level staff, schedule and coordinate task resources, and solicit guidance from other senior level technical staff; and
    • Evaluate data to (1) support conceptual site models for environmental investigations, (2) delineate the nature and extent of contamination, and (3) modify and optimize post-remedy long-term monitoring programs.
    • Travel locally on short and long-term assignments (approximately 25%).


    • Bachelor's degree in geology or hydrogeology
    • 8-10 years of environmental compliance or groundwater remediation consulting and design experience.
    • Licensure as a Professional Geologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (the ability to obtain other state licensure through reciprocity is a plus)
    • Demonstrated work experience in any of the following areas: environmental compliance, Phase I/II environmental site assessments, emergency spill response, and routine sampling of soil, water, air, and sediment.
    • Working knowledge of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, OPA, NPDES, NCP, CERCLA/TRRP, etc.)
    • Experience managing project tasks (field and office) and subcontractors.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to pass a company physical exam (indicating that there will be no restrictions for field activities or use of a full-face respirator).
    • Valid driver's license without major violations.
    • In addition to the basic qualifications the qualifications below are highly desired but not required:

      • Five (5) years of environmental compliance or groundwater remediation consulting experience.
      • 40-hour HAZWOPER health and safety training certificate (with an up-to-date 8-hr annual refresher course certification).
